Cinepazide maleate (1-(Pyrrolidinyl-1-carbonyl)-methyl-4-(3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamoyl)-piperazine-maleate ) is a vasodilator agent used clinically in China for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and peripheral vascular diseases. Cinepazide maleate is thought to act as a potentiator of adenosine A2 receptors and has also been characterized as a calcium channel blocker. It was withdrawn for agranulocytosis in several countries.

Determination of cinepazide maleate in rat plasma by LLE Using LC-MS-MS. [2]
