Sodium difluoromethanesulfinate (HCF2SO2Na) is a novel, efficient and bench-stable reagent for the difluoromethylation of arious aryls, aryl boronic acids, alkenes, alkynes, cyclopropanol and protonated heteroaromatic bases. It also can be empolyed for difluoromethylthilation of phenols, naphathols and other aromatic compounds including indoles,pyrroles,pyrazoles,enamines,ketones,β-keto esters and activated benzenes.
