4-(2-Aminoethyl)benzenesulfonyl fluoride hydrochloride (AEBSF, Pefabloc SC) is a water soluble, irreversible, broad spectrum inhibitor of serine proteases, including chymotrypsin, kallikrein, plasmin, thrombin, trypsin, and related thrombolytic enzymes. As an alternative to PMSF and DFP, AEBSF offers lower toxicity, improved solubility in water and improved stability in aqueous solutions.
Inhibition of NADPH oxidase activation by 4-(2-aminoethyl)-benzenesulfonyl fluoride and related compounds. [1]
Irreversible Inhibitors of Serine, Cysteine, and Threonine Proteases. [2]
Serine protease inhibitor attenuates ovalbumin induced inflammation in mouse model of allergic airway disease. [3]
