1,4,8,11-Tetraazacyclotetradecane (also known as Cyclam) is an azamacrocycle typically used to form more stable metal complexes as compared to open chain ligands. It is also employed as key intermediate for the preparation of Plerixafor (AMD3100), an immunostimulant used to mobilize hematopoietic stem cells in cancer patients into the bloodstream.
