(R)-2-(1H-indol-3-yl)-1-methyl-ethylamine (also known as (R)-α-Methyltryptamine) is a chiral methylated Tryptamine with psychedelic, stimulant and entactogenic properties. It is a non-selective serotonin receptor agonist and acts as relatively balanced releasing agent of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Recently it is also used as an intermediate to synthesis GDC-9545 (RG6171), which is a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) that is designed to bind to the estrogen receptor to limit its function.
